Ingredients:

1 16-oz. can tomato purée
1/2 cup water
1/2 7-oz. can chipotle peppers
2 medium onions, chopped
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
Pureé in a blender container or food processor bowl.
